Military Appreciation Month

U.S. Army Veteran

The month of May signifies a time of gratitude to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving in the United States Armed Forces. Military Appreciation Month, observed throughout the month of May, stands as a testament to the sacrifices made by our Service Members and Veterans. Today, we honor Dean Blair, U.S. Army Veteran.

"My time in the military started in the marines as an infantryman and after September 11th I was recruited back into the military, this time with the U.S. Army. Throughout my career I was on active duty in Somalia, Kosovo, the Iraq War and other conflicts. My gear and boots really mattered as I progressed through my Army career. I wore and depended on Rocky boots because of their comfort and performance that hold up in all conditions and environments," commented Blair.

Now Special Weapons Group Manager at Colt's Firearms, Blair continues to work daily with armed forces and veterans. Blair shares that his Rocky boots are, "The one piece of gear that I never had to worry about failing. I wear Rocky boots in my job which takes me to different places all over the world for work. I conduct demos and training for my company on our product to law enforcement agencies and military units. And having the right gear matters."

Today, his everyday pair of Rocky's is the Coronado for their lightweight and versatile performance, as well as all-day comfort that he can take while traveling and working. These became his go-to boots on a wet and muddy trip to Asia where he depended on having the right gear during training. "At the end of the day when I was showering I took the Coronados into the shower with me and washed the mud off. Afterwards I put the boots in front of a fan and early in the morning they were dry as a bone and ready to go again for another day of training." Blair continues to travel the world, and trusts his Rocky Boots as his footwear of choice while in the field.
