The Rocky® Elements Shale Steel Toe Waterproof Work Boot is a great boot for the oil and gas industry and drilling work.
Rocky Waterproof construction guarantees that your feet remain dry as you work. This also is a steel toe boot that resists electrical hazards. Your toes are protected from up to up to 75 pounds of impact and compression. The boot meets the ASTM standards for both safety features. Tackle your work environment with confidence; you're wearing a men's boot that can handle it all.
This work boot is designed to withstand tough elements. The outsole has a TPU skin, resisting oils and slips. Now, you have secure footing. The safety toe boot is triple-stitched in areas that get a lot of wear. The direct-attached outsole bonds to the upper and doesn't break down.
Rocky cares about the details; the hardware includes "never cut" hooks to protect your laces. The oiled full-grain leather boot is eight inches tall, giving you quality material and a little extra height over so many other boots out there.
You work hard and spend most of your day in work boots. Make sure you choose a comfortable work boot. Long days call for a removable Terra Suspension insole that gives you plenty of cushioning and support. For more support, there's a nylon shank that targets the arch of your foot. Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using steel composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
